New Year's resolutions

Hello heroes!

First of all, I wish you a happy new year. May the coming year roll out a red carpet full of happiness, health, love, success and above all satisfaction, as Universal Studios in Hollywood did for my siblings RoLa!

Already another year is over and 2019 has started. Today I would like to look at resolutions and motivation for the new year. What does a new year do to people? Does it motivate you to take off in the new year and change something in your life? Or is it like a soap bubble that quickly bursts or even disappears after initial euphoria?

The following resolutions are popular:

  • More time for yourself

  • More exercise/sports

  • More time for friends/family

  • Avoid or reduce stress

  • Eat healthier

  • Lose weight

  • Drink less alcohol

  • Watch less television

  • Be more frugal

  • Quit smoking

For example, my RoLa siblings told me their joint resolutions for the new year. Roy and Lazzy have resolved to fight less and play more together. They also want to try out all sorts of things to find out what they really want. I'm curious how long these resolutions will last! ;) But of course I support RoLa in their intentions. Above all, I want to give them a hand with the discovery tour. I think it's important that you get to know the world with all its facets. Only then can you form your own opinion and piece by piece guess what you really want in life.

Which type are you?

I've often heard that all these resolutions only last for a short time and then the typical daily grind sets in. But some people follow through and are proud that they have persevered. I think everyone should do it the way they want and what makes the individual happy. Personally, I use the turn of the year as an opportunity to reflect on whether I am still happy with my current situation. Be it privately or professionally. Do I do things because society dictates it to me or demands it of me? But what is important to me?! Which things or people make me happy? I don't only ask myself these questions at the turn of the year, but they are brought back into my consciousness more strongly at this time. At the end of the day, what counts is that I am happy and satisfied. This satisfaction also has a positive effect on those around me. There's no point in chasing after clichés if you're unhappy yourself. Of course, compromises are often made with family, friends, partners or colleagues because they are considered more valuable and fulfilling. However, if compromises feel wrong, then perhaps you should question your decision again.

Was this compromise really right, because instincts often know things much earlier than the head. Often the head can't assign the gut feeling and it doesn't sound logical or comprehensible. But if I have learned one thing in life, then that experiences in life are often not immediately explainable. However, it is the feeling that gives hope.

Instincts are for the brave!

Do you have any resolutions or goals for the new year 2019 ?

Yours
